About Leona

Leona Bertagnolli has been a proud resident of Clearwater County for over 35 years, living and working on her family’s century-old heritage farm, originally homesteaded in 1907. She continues that legacy today, producing and selling hay for the equine market while maintaining a deep connection to the land and her community.

With a professional background in office administration and accounting, Leona has extensive experience in cost control, procurement, budgeting, and daily cost tracking within the oil and gas industry. Beyond her professional career, she’s been a dedicated community volunteer for decades—Project Manager for the Cookie Jar Playschool building project, Treasurer for Early Childhood Development Kindergarten, nine years on the Rocky Gas Co-Op Board, service on the joint Town and County Recreation Board, years of coaching figure skating, and assisting low‑income seniors through the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program at FCSS.

Leona raised three children into responsible and caring adults and is guided by three key principles in all that she does: Integrity, Stewardship, and Accountability.
